Scope & preparation

When this is useful

Hardware consultancy is useful when a team needs workstations, devices or supporting infrastructure but is unsure which requirements matter. Workload, compatibility, support and replacement planning should shape the brief. The most expensive specification is not automatically the best fit.

How ADPR can help

ADPR can help organise requirements and coordinate procurement or setup discussions. Vendor specifications, warranty terms and availability need current verification. Existing software and peripherals should be considered before a recommendation is finalised.

A typical process

  1. Identify workloads, users and existing equipment.

  2. Compare requirements with compatible options and vendor support terms.

  3. Coordinate the agreed setup and acceptance checks.

What to prepare

  • User roles and software workloads
  • Existing device and peripheral information
  • Budget, support and procurement constraints

Possible scope outputs

  • Hardware requirements brief
  • Option and compatibility checklist
  • Setup and handover plan

The proposal will confirm what is included, who is responsible and the applicable timeline. These are scope examples, not a fixed package.

Questions worth asking

Can compatibility be guaranteed without assessment?

No. Software, peripherals, networking and vendor constraints need to be checked for the actual environment.

Does ADPR manufacture the equipment?

No manufacturing claim is made. Procurement and support responsibilities depend on the agreed scope and selected vendors.
