Scope & preparation
When this is useful
A bank may request records covering specific periods, entities or activities. Preparation support helps identify the relevant documents and present them consistently. It does not create audited accounts, certify figures or replace work that must be done by an accountant or another qualified professional.
How ADPR can help
ADPR can help reconcile the request against available records, note missing periods and coordinate with the person responsible for the figures. Source documents must remain traceable. Confidential information should be shared only with authorised recipients through an agreed channel.
A typical process
Read the institution’s request for periods and document types.
Index source records and ask the responsible professional about gaps.
Prepare a labelled pack with clear ownership and version information.
What to prepare
- Written document requirements
- List of available accounting or financial records
- Contact for the professional responsible for the figures
Possible scope outputs
- Period-wise document register
- Gap and query list
- Labelled record pack
The proposal will confirm what is included, who is responsible and the applicable timeline. These are scope examples, not a fixed package.
Questions worth asking
Does this include auditing or certifying accounts?
No. Audit, certification and professional accounting work require an appropriately qualified professional.
Can records from different periods be mixed?
The pack should clearly identify each period and entity. Ask the institution or responsible professional how to handle any missing records.
